About Us

Welcome

It is indeed a joy to welcome you into our school family. We believe that your child's attendance at our school is a privilege, not a right. The goals of Redeemer are not to reform but to train youth of every ability in the highest principles of Christian leadership, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship.

Philosophy
The philosophy of education at Redeemer Lutheran School is that all children are born learners and that children learn by doing. Our responsibility is to provide a Christian education for children of the congregation and community, so they may through God's Spirit:

  • know God and His seeking and forgiving love in Jesus Christ and respond to that love with lives of Christian faith, worship, service, love, and hope;
  • identify themselves as children of God, members of Christ's body, and grow in self-understanding and self-acceptance;
  • relate responsibly to God's creation by acquiring knowledge and understanding, and developing talents and skills for responsible living and serving.

Mission Statement
Redeemer Lutheran Elementary School (Grades K-8), focusing on the greater Redwood City community, is a place where teachers, parents, and congregation members work together to share the Good News of salvation, nurturing children with God's love and grace. Our primary goal is to help children develop a positive view of the future and acquire the attitudes, knowledge, and skills necessary to become successful, contributing Christians in a rapidly changing world.
